Fans of creative and hearty dishes will delight in the Shrimp and Goat Cheese Crepes, the tender Short Rib Benedict, and the expertly roasted half chicken alongside elegant options such as the tender Filet Mignon and savory Onion Tart. For those seeking a true taste of New Orleans, the iconic Sazerac cocktail or Muriel's Mystic Margarita—inspired by jalapeño-infused Corazon tequila and a Tajin rim—deliver a spicy, refreshing punch that complements the meal beautifully.

Dessert here transcends expectations, with decadent highlights like the White Chocolate Bread Pudding, the velvety Vanilla Bean Crème Brûlée, and the rich Flourless Chocolate Cake ensuring every dining experience ends on a perfect note. The venue’s historic charm makes it an ideal spot not only for dinner but also for special gatherings and weddings. Its status as a hidden gem in New Orleans was noted by diners who discovered Muriel's through word of mouth and popular culture, repeatedly praising its ambiance and unique combination of refined Southern flavors served with a modern twist.

OMG! I found out about this venue from the Real Housewives of Orange County.. and reserved a table. Met Randall, the maitre d, who was amazing! The venue was incredible.. a hidden gem.. I was here 2 years ago and never knew about them. So, I recommend you look them up.. Sofia and Liv were a great team as our servers! Food was delicious and the service was outstanding!

The food was good, the desert was great. The staff is wonderful. Now the bad. Ordering $55 Filet medium rare and getting it close to well done was disappointing to say the least. To be honest, I should have sent it back but I hate doing that. My wife got the three course meal and she gave it an A+, I tasted the grits and shrimp and it is among the best i have ever had. Great location, great atmosphere and history in this building.

Ladies, make sure you’ve got shapewear on because you’re gonna need it! This place was INCREDIBLE My group went here for dinner for my best friend’s birthday and man, they did not disappoint! I had the wild mushroom gnocchi then duck and it was perfectly cooked, perfectly seasoned, perfectly moist. My husband had the pork chops and omg did he make himself hurt devouring them. Worth it. Lastly, we had the bread pudding and holy cow, I could eat that for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We’d made a reservation prior and didn’t have to wait long. Not drunk but just a klutz and spilled water everywhere (so embarrassing) but the wait staff was super nice about it. Our waiter was great and didn’t rush us to make our selections and even helped with recommendations. After dinner, we wandered around and got to see the seance room, upstairs, and the balcony overlooking Jackson Square and St. Louis Cathedral. It was absolutely stunning. Everyone should check this out while they’re in NOLA.

My son and I made advanced online reservations for a weekday dinner at 5:30 pm. We picked Muriel’s because they offered the 4-course Reveillon 2025 exclusive menu, only available for 23 days in December. We were seated immediately at a low-top table in one of the lower dining rooms. I noticed they did not have table linens, and the silverware was rolled rather than set. We had alternating servers who were professional but not personable. All four courses were exquisite, from the turtle soup to the lamb. Unfortunately, the enjoyment was spoiled by a large party near us celebrating a birthday. They were loud and obnoxious, acting like they were at a sports bar on bourbon, not at an upscale restaurant that required collared shirts and cost $100+ a person. My son mentioned it to one of the managers, and he just apologized and nothing else. I would have appreciated it if he had spoken with the table or moved us to a quieter part of the restaurant. They did not miss on the food. It was excellent. They missed the experience, which would cause me not to return. Please do not portray yourself as refined and upscale, and then back it up.

I stopped in here for a solo dinner while visiting New Orleans and I'm so glad I did. The service was excellent, and the staff all made excellent drink and food recommendations. All the food I ordered was very good, but the pork chops were absolutely delicious (maybe the best pork chops I've ever eaten?). Go for the prix fixe menu if you have the time and the appetite for three courses! They also have a pretty good wine selection and their cocktails were unique and delicious!
